Calvin Klein unveils a new fragrance for women, starring an advertising campaign which are Lupita Nyong’o and Saoirse Ronan. Ad campaign and new bottle was designed by chief creative officer of Calvin Klein RAF Simons.
The company Calvin Klein has announced that actress Lupita Nyong’o and Saoirse Ronan, was awarded the prize “Oscar”, will be the faces of the new perfume campaign “Calvin Klein Women”. Nyong’o and Ronan will appear in the print ad along with black-and-white photos of iconic women – Erty Kitt, Katharine Hepburn, sissy Spacek and Nina Simone, who once inspired them.
The concept of the new product was developed by the creative Director of Calvin Klein, RAF Simons, who also designed the bottle of perfume, providing it a huge cap in the form of a disc with a graphic image of an eye from the photographer and the Director, campaign Ann Necklace. Recall that in 2018 Calvin Klein received recognition for the best media company of the year for his men’s fragrance – Eternity.
In a press release, Mr Simons said: “the Campaign of the new perfume is a study of femininity: a group of women linked by the common thread that conveys a desire to possess the opportunity to create their own identity, and to support and guide those who come after them. Calvin Klein Women inspired, by the transfer of strength and inspiration from one woman to another, a combination of the power of many with the power of the individual, freedom of expression and the notion that the team is as important as an individual”.
At the beginning of their new media campaigns, Calvin Klein has encouraged social media users to use the hashtag #IAmWomen for sharing the photos of those women who have inspired them to any achievement in life.
A new flavor that focused around the scent of eucalyptus and cedar wood, and hints of smell of the orange blossom joins a portfolio of fragrance of Calvin Klein, which includes CK One, Eternity, Euphoria, and Obsessed.
The release of the new spirits only confirms the success of Calvin Klein, a brand owned by Coty. Sales are trademarks amounted to about 3.5 billion US dollars in 2017, which is 10% higher than a year earlier. Meanwhile, in the fiscal third quarter of 2018 sales in the premium sector Coty grew by 12% to 752,5 million US dollars.
