Chiara Ferragni, an Italian fashion designer who, according to Forbes, is “one of the leading authorities in the world of fashion,” and is also the author of the popular blog The Blonde Salad with a 10-year history, presents his own collection of color cosmetics, developed in collaboration with Lancôme.
“I feel that makeup can be a tool for strengthening the confidence, – says Ferragni. – It can help you feel better, and when that happens, you will have a different attitude to the world. Buy some lipstick, and you look at yourself in the mirror and think, “Yeah, I look good.” This good energy will transform your day. I personally feel confident when I have shiny skin, so I love to wear highlighter and gold eyeshadow“.
Ferragni goal was to create products that would reflect this sense of inclusion and transformation. The result is a capsule collection (a separate line within the brand, most often created by invited celebrity) Lancôme x Chiara Ferragni, which is a range of eight products specially designed to give skin a natural light shining from the inside, regardless of the shade of skin or makeup.
The range includes three new shades of the best selling lipsticks L’absolu Mademoiselle L’absolu Shine and Lacquer from Lancôme in the shade nudemom “to give fullness to the lips”, as well as red and pink shades, exactly the same as she prefers Ferragni. The best selling mascara Lancôme Hypnose Drama has also gone through design changes in this limited collection, because mascara is the only cosmetic product that Ferragni is wearing every day with any look. Jewel collection – Flirting Palette palette that contains tools for eye makeup, lips and cheeks.
“What I really wanted to do is to create products that would be truly inclusive and able to work with any skin tone,” says Ms. Ferragni. “I think that the palette of all that is in the collection defines what I understand by beauty. I like that you can create so many different looks, just by buying one product, because it has a little of everything. This means that you don’t need to carry so many cosmetics – just need palette and your Foundation”.
