Brand Garnier has introduced a new series of organic products for skin care in their efforts to protect the environment.
A cosmetic brand owned by L’oreal, announced the launch of Garnier Bio – line of products for skin care, which has been certified by the French organization Ecocert as organic. The collection, which is currently available in France, includes a moisturizing cleanser, face oil, anti-aging cream and tonic water, which include such popular ingredients as argan, lemongrass, lavender and thyme.
The output of Garnier Bio followed the news that the brand entered into a three-year partnership with environmental non-governmental organization Fondation GoodPlanet. This project involves a partnership with the French farmers for the purpose of development of the agricultural and forestry Association of agroizdatelstvo France. The focus in this project on the methods of agriculture that have the least impact on the environment and bring higher profits to the farmers. The partnership will provide support to the seven pilot farms, as well as the training of 50 farmers for planting 2,800 trees on 35 hectares of land and raising awareness among the General public.
“We and the GoodPlanet Foundation share the same desire to bring to life our solid commitments to the planet and to future generations, said Elodie Bernadi, Director Garnier France. We also want to organize the launch of Garnier Bio in the framework of the “Return to nature”, with specific and local action to support farmers in their transition to ecological methods of work.”
Garnier isn’t the only brand in the beauty industry, working on sustainable development. For example, this month’s brand of natural cosmetics Lush has released in Europe, his line of skin care products “Naked” without packaging and plastic, and by 2021 REN Clean Skincare has promised to get rid of waste, which corresponds to one of the most important trends in the cosmetic industry, according to analysts Mintel.
