Givaudan introduces a new technology Scentaurus for persistent flavors

The company Givaudan announced the release of the line Scentaurus precursor (precursor) of flavors that extend the palette of ingredients that give the perfumers the opportunity to create long lasting fragrances for various applications.

The flavor precursor is a molecule with a weak odor, which under the influence of external trigger (stimulus), such as oxygen, light or water, allocates at least one molecule of aromatic substances. This new technology ensures the longevity of the flavors in several categories like fabric, home and personal care products. The technology also offers a way of countering the addictive, reinforcing the unique top notes during the term of aroma.

Givaudan was the first company to introduce in 2006, easily degradable predecessor of fragrance in the palette of ingredients – Scentaurus Tonkarose, the molecule that separates the two different odorants. Today, 13 years later, the company offers a new family of precursors, adding to the palette Scentaurus Clean, Scentaurus Scentaurus and Juicy Berry. Each ingredient Scentaurus® is the exclusive perfumers Givaudan and provides a high level of versatility.

In addition to the obvious olfactory effect of perfume compounds, a precursor Scentaurus was developed in accordance with the Givaudan approach to sustainable development “Sense of tomorrow” as a responsible innovation with a positive impact on the environment. Scentaurus allows you to create a compact flavors, and is manufactured using the principles of green chemistry.

Some olfactory notes can now be delivered on a dry stage on the fabric that was previously impossible.
