L’oréal signed an agreement to acquire Logocos Naturkosmetik, a German cosmetics company, which owns brands such as Logona and Sante.
The company Logocos Naturkosmetik was founded by Hans Anselem in Hanover in 1978 and specializiruetsya on products that be suitable for vegetarians. Besides, according to the manufacturer, the entire makeup of this brand is a biologically certified. In particular, the raw material for the production of its products, the company uses plant extracts and natural ingredients, their products of organic agriculture.
Today, the company with four decades of history has a total of 340 employees. Last year, the net sales of the organization amounted to more than 59 million euros. The main market is Germany, but the products Logocos Naturkosmetik is also represented in other European countries.
The Logona range of products includes cosmetics for care of hair, hair dyes, cosmetic and hygiene products that are available in stores that sell organic products.
Sante line includes cosmetics for care of hair, skin, personal care products, and can be found in retail stores, targeting young consumers.
The President of the consumer products division of L’oréal Alexis Perakis-Valat said in a press release: “Logocos brings to the Department two authentic and certified brand of natural cosmetics, as well as the unique experiences of the world pioneer in organic cosmetics. In accordance with the strategy of L’oréal, which implies maximum involvement of all kinds of innovation, this acquisition strengthens the position of L’oréal in one of the fastest growing categories in today’s beauty industry”.
General Manager of L’oréal in Germany, Fabrizio Meharban said: “L’oréal Germany is interested in gaining experience in the market of natural cosmetics, where the demand for organic cosmetics is one of the highest in Western Europe.”
With this acquisition, L’oréal plans to expand the sale of brands Logocos Naturkosmetik all over the world. The transaction will be completed within a few months, until its details were not disclosed.
