Surprisingly good tone Bourjois – Radiance City – Skin Protecting Foundation – Vanilla 02

After the summer break to use the Foundation, in the fall I went back to them and found that all my bases are very dense and noticeable on the face, and I would like something more light and less matte. The store was with an eye on the new BB cream Bourjois, and returned home with City Radiance — Skin Protecting Foundation, which previously never heard of. There was a time when all praised Healthy Mix Serum, and then they changed the formula and tone of the Bourgeoisie, almost nothing is heard and not seen, and in vain, because, as it turned out, their other bases are good too.

So, what the manufacturer promises:

  • illuminating effect and shielding from contamination (in particular, carbon particles, whatever that means), which allows the skin to “breathe”
  • СПФ30 (UVA, UVB, PA+++) protection for 8 hours
  • the 24 hours of hydration with 40% water content in the formula
  • suitable for all skin types, especially dry.

Of course, almost none of this when buying I didn’t know about SPF is that it was written on the package. I was more interested in shade, coverage and finish.

If you are familiar with the range of shades of Bourjois, you probably know that the 02 Vanilla is a light warm shade, almost yellow. In the embodiment of City Radiance, nothing has changed, still the same shade of yellow, but my skin tone is suitable.

Coverage from light to medium, it reccomends to apply with your fingers or with a sponge (I use beauty blender).

My skin is oily, with traces of many years in the treatment of acne, some uneven tone, and large uneven terrain (enlarged pores, scarring). Exactly on the day when I was doing photos for a post, jumped out the foe near the wing of the nose.

I want to mention that the photo I edited, just reduced the size in order to demonstrate how the tone cope with different problems. Due to the fact that the light time to change, while I painted, changed the tone of the photo towards the warmer spectrum, but to remove it in the editor, I did not.

To be honest, after first using the cream I was extremely surprised at how it not only evened out the tone (and because the cover promised easy), but also improve the appearance of skin: relief became less noticeable, the tone has not failed in the pores on the nose and not stressed peeling on nose (left after mechanical cleaning of comedones). The finish had not completely matte.

Used spot concealer, secured with powder

The tone I always powder because my skin starts to Shine pretty quickly, and the resistance of this fixation extends. I have worn this tone is extremely satisfactory: does not drip, does not slip on clothes is not printed, holes does. Except that by the end of the day is wiped around the nose, but this is due to the use of paper napkins.

Glitter, of course, is manifested, but as a whole everything looks very natural and easy. After reading the promise of long-term hydration, I’m a little afraid that I’ll all Shine, but no, that didn’t happen.

A complete makeover

On the tube side it was stated that the Foundation is tested dermatologically and is not comedogenic. Within two weeks of use, I did not see myself clogged pores or other negative reactions (and my skin pretty quickly lets you know if something isn’t suitable).

Total concealer, an almost spontaneously selected at the store was very nice, especially for every day when you do not want to have a thick mask of highly opaque tones. Worn perfectly up to 15 hours (more not tested), does not clog the pores, not going in the folds and wrinkles, does not cause rashes, and, in my opinion, looks great even on my problem skin. A nice bonus in the form of спф30 also in the box of the pros.
