The Ordinary: Part 6. Buffet+Copper Peptides, Mandelic acid 10%, Ascorbic Acid 8%+Alpha Arbutin 8%, Salicylic Acid 2% Lactic Acid Solution and 5%

Hello, dear readers!

πŸŽ„ All a happy New Year! All the best, good luck, happiness, love and beauty! πŸŽ„

Long I waited with this post for a very long time! The pictures were taken at the end of July… Finally got my hands, head, brain,… and I want to share with you my impressions about Buffet+Copper Peptides, Mandelic acid 10%, Ascorbic Acid 8%+Alpha Arbutin 8%, Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and Lactic Acid 5%. Along the way will make a mini-review of tools described in the previous parts for 2018: what is left and what I never went back…

Remind myself:

  • 33,
  • oily, very sensitive and problematic skin prone to dehydration (the tendency to dermatitis/eczema).
  • Hot/humid/marine climate.
  • 3rd photo, the tendency to pigmentation/freckles, especially on the nose and cheeks.
  • Pores on nose and chin narrow, the rest is average (depends on many factors and the weather: it is slightly narrower, then wider, especially on the cheeks).
  • Wrinkles and age-specific skin problems are not.
  • Care use in adolescence (thanks mom!),
  • 3 years is sitting tight on the Korean care and The Ordinary
  • Acid/Vit C/retinol 24 years
  • Medical aesthetic services are 25 years of age, as nature and heredity gave me wildly active facial expressions and astigmatism. Plus, living since childhood in a hot climate doesn’t help: Botox, biorevitalization, lasers, peelings, PRP, thread, filler, etc etc my Main motto: better to prevent than to treat! I understand that many will not agree, but for myself I chose this path… and have not regretted: the skin is thin, she needs help. This item will always point to everything was “fair”.
  • From care I’m primarily waiting for: hydration/nutrition, maintain skin elasticity (turgor) and improve its texture, getting rid of or at least control the outbreaks. Don’t believe that any cosmetic product, able to get rid of already (!) existing creases/facial wrinkles, especially the “sagging” of the tissues. Believe in manual techniques (massage), but try not to overdo it and make the courses so as not to stretch the skin (not itself).
  • active in sports: in the morning β€” motocross race in the evening β€” room, and iron.
  • The main problem and concern β€” the fight against acne/acne/acnethat hardly disturbed the last time.

β–Ά This is The Ordinary the situation in December 2018

For those who have not read my posts and for those who are already familiar is a small update:

☞Clicking on words highlighted in blue, if you wish, you can link to a particular post about The Ordinary.☜

Part 1: skin care around the eyes.

Eye skin I have very very dry (for those not familiar with me) and in my case, only one cream, very nutritious, will not work. So, for myself, prefer the following scheme:

the eye serum + night The Retinoid Ordinary 2% in squalane (morning clean) + oil + nourishing eye cream (in the morning one in the evening… another post here).

1) βœ… Caffeine Solution 5%+EGCG (water base) β€” continue to use in emergency cases when you need to quickly open eyes.

2) 🚫 Argireline Solution 10% (aqueous base) β€” no longer used, as in my case, I don’t see the need for this product.

3) 🚫 Matrixyl 10%+HA (water based) is never returned, as the first moved to the eye serum from the same brand Hylamide SubQ eyes, which had been used until September. Today, back to Sesderma K-Vit Serum because of the greater volume and power.

Part 2: morning care

4) 🚫 Alpha Arbutin 2%+HA (water base) β€” a month since I stopped using it. Nothing bad to say about this product, but don’t expect to return to it.

5) βœ… Resveratrol 3%+Ferulic Acid 3% (oil form) β€” continue to use in the morning, adding just 1-2 drops of the ampoules of vitamin C Endocare-C Proteoglicanos Oil Free (post here)

6) 🚫 100% Cold-Pressed Virgin Marula Oil (oil) β€” finished and never came back, prefer rosehip oil and Sea-Buckthorn oil and B Oil (post write).

7) 🚫 Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% (water base) a very weak form of Vit C for me. Did not repeat because I prefer vials Endocare-C Proteoglicanos Oil Free .

Part 3: night care

8) βœ… Niacinamide 10%+Zinc 1% (aqueous base) β€” well, it’s my love! Always have in stock 5-7 boxes. Use in the evening as in the morning not because of the vitamin C.

9) ⁉ app Lactic Acid 10%+HA 2% (aqueous base) β€” finished the stocks of the old version (as it turned out) that was a gel texture, pale yellow in color… I have formed a very strange relationship with the new (similar to water, with an orange tint). She told me was to irritate the skin and caused dermatitis, which is flying already a month. Do not hurry to get rid of inventory (I have an almost complete open jar and 3 new), but I suspect that this will go on the back. So…

10) βœ… 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil (oil) – use morning and evening to the area around the eyes after the serum and night after serum and retinoid 2% to cream. Quite a bit. Face: morning and evening before the cream, sometimes mixing with other oils.

11) βœ… Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% (oil texture), use 2 times a week in the evening.

12) βœ… AHA 30%+BHA 2% Peeling Solution (peeling mask) – use 1 time per week. Will continue.

13) βœ… Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane ( oil-based: squalane). = use in the evening to skin around the eyes (1 droplet is enough for both eyes).

Part 4. (+ Table means The Ordinary, except released in 2018)

14) 🚫 Vitamin C tablets 23% + HA Spheres 2% β€” do not use yet. The stock ended and do not see any need. I might be back in the future.

15) βœ… Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% is my next favorite and a must-have.

16) βœ… Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane β€” a pleasure to use.

17) βœ… Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution – use for back and neck. For the face I did not like, and overkill.

Part 5. (+ table for my leaving The Ordinary for the week: April 2018)

18) βœ… Retinol 1% in Squalane β€” love and will continue to use and further.

19) 🚫 EUK 134 0.1% β€” for my oily skin in the end did not like, finished, no more buying and not going.

Of the 18 funds was 11 and think they will not leave me… but who knows? A year view! πŸ˜„ I do not like to change skincare, if they work, but suddenly the brand will release something even more effective?

Buffet + Copper Peptides 2% (aqueous base)

Why: the General aging of the skin.

Main active component: see below

Application: in the evening and/or morning

pH: 6.00-7.00

Format: water-based

Step in care: until the oil/cream

Conflicts: cannot be combined with vitamin C.

Formula combines:

  • copper peptides, known as GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1): improve the overall health of the skin, maintenance of normal immune function, collagen synthesis, production of fibroblasts and inflammatory reactions. The inclusion of copper peptides provides a natural blue tint formula.
  • the peptide complex Matrixyl 3000 (palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7): refreshes, strengthens and makes skin more elastic.
  • peptide complex Matrixyl synthe 6 (palmitoyl tripeptide-38): has marked capacity strengthening of the extracellular matrix, stimulates the processes of wound healing and restoration of collagen fibers.
  • peptide complex SYN-AKE (dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate): a synthetic peptide that mimics the action of Temple Viper venom kufii, blocks muscle activity. It is believed that it is more powerful Argireline. According to clinical data provided by the developer, when applying a cream with 4% content of Syn-Ake for 28 days, the reduction in depth of wrinkles by more than 50% (crow’s feet, mirovka).
  • peptide complex Relistase (acetylarginyltryptophyl diphenylglycine): inhibits elastase activity and stimulates the synthesis of type I collagen, improving elasticity and turgor of the skin.
  • ARGIRELOX peptide complex (acetyl hexapeptide-8, pentapeptide-18): peptides-muscle relaxants
  • probiotic complex (producer Lactococcus lactis lysate)
  • Allantoin: soothes the skin
  • 11 amino acids and several forms of hyaluronic acid + humidifiers
  • The total concentration of active technologies is 26.1 per cent.

  • The gel consistency of the color blue.
  • Easy application, I only had one oily drops (1/3 dropper).
  • Almost completely absorbed leaving no stickiness.
  • The first time I felt slight tingling of the skin, which disappeared after about a week of daily use in the morning.
  • No odor (I feel nothing).

For maximum results copper peptides-muscle relaxants need to use 2 times a day, on an ongoing basis. I was not able to use this tool for this scheme because of the conflict with many vehicles in my care. I just had no where to push! Identified in your morning routine, applying through the day, alternating with Vitamin C. so, what I said?

  • Calm redness and allergic reactions, which coincided with the beginning of the test in may. Just a week all the problems disappeared, and it genuinely surprised me and made me happy! That is a huge plus.
  • The second “opportunity” to test the soothing properties had a month ago, when lactic acid with a new formula called dermatitis/eczema on my temples and neck in a very complex form. The first 2 weeks only used this serum in the morning and evening, combining with rosehip oil, Marine Hyaluronics, B oil and Niacinamide. More skin could not tolerate almost anything, except for the toner Laneige Fresh Calming Toner (you can read here), Primera Fluid Brightening (not yet wrote the post), essence 96: RICH snail essence (you can read here), Laneige Balancing Emulsion Sensitive (not yet writing the post) and cream Tosowoong Vita clinic (you can read here). Also rehabilitated for yourself toner TonyMoly The London Classic Black Tea Toner (you can read here), because thanks to its gel texture, I came up to mix with rosehip oil, getting the likeness of the emulsion in the morning. By the way now I drip oil in it, so they better penetrate into the skin and I find it easier to use (the smell used πŸ˜„).
  • Present moisture, but we must not forget, that is responsible for other means in my care.
  • Instant visual lifting effect (skin is stretched).
  • Does not cause rashes and blackheads. The pores do not clog.
  • Is not slipping.
  • I was very comfortable means. About the rejuvenating effect can not say anything, for the reasons described in the beginning of the post.

At the moment, I moved completely to Vit With in the morning (otherwise ampoules deteriorate and the flow turns out stupid). But this does not mean that I abandoned the Buffet + Copper Peptides 2%! I’m almost finished the 3rd bottle and plan to order more, but as SOS-tool, when the skin needs a rest or if the skin will again begin to rebel in the form of eczema. Most likely, if I didn’t love ampoules Vit C β€” I’d be using it in the morning on a regular basis, but…

Here is the use of this tool I found for myself!

Rating: 9/10 βœ…

Period of use: may 2018 this morning.

Price: 26,80€

Mandelic Acid 10% + HA (water base)

Why: the General aging of the skin.

Active ingredient: mandelic acid

Application: preferably in the evening

pH: 3.5 to 3.7

Format: water-based

Step in care: until the oil/cream after water basics

Conflicts: no

Features: use protective means from the sun

Serum (no peeling) with a mandelic acid 10% + hyaluronic acid:

  • Mandelic acid (mandelic acid) belongs to the category of alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA acids). Obtained by the method of hydrolysis from an extract of bitter almonds.
  • provides superficial exfoliation of the skin,
  • has a milder effect unlike other alpha hydroxy acids, due to the larger molecular weight 152,1 daltons, which allows the mandelic acid to penetrate the skin more slowly. (For comparison, the mass of the glycolic acid=76.0 per Dalton).
  • suitable for all skin types including the most sensitive skin.
  • improves the condition of aging, combination, oily, porous skin and skin with signs of photoaging.
  • it has antibacterial properties
  • fights acne, pimples and comedones
  • evens skin tone and pigmentation disorders;
  • has no photosensitizing effect

  • oily, liquid texture, very comfortable.
  • Use in the evening after the Amide to the retinol/retinoid, oils and cream (previously combined and/or alternated with lactic acid 10%). Does not roll down and collide with the rest of the care.
  • On face and neck quite 1/3 of the pipette.
  • clear color, pale yellow in color
  • does not cause irritation and/or redness (tested on my long-suffering skin with dermatitis, the first 2 weeks of aggravation β€” I was hesitant to apply, in the name of avoiding exacerbations and deterioration).

As in the case of Buffet + Copper Peptides is 2%, I can responsibly say and confirm that this serum:

  • soothes the skin and inflammation
  • has a lightening effect (had to check before, again began to sunbathe)
  • in the morning the skin soft and smooth
  • does not cause inflammation, blackheads and even I would say, “clean” the pores.
  • seeing the effect of tightening pores (almost invisible in the morning but during the day they can once again expand… climate, what can you do?)
  • myself β€” haven’t noticed any flaking (probably because I’m always peels-skutki)
  • allows easy to use all year round (and I have little choice: either use constantly or not, the sun always πŸ˜‘).

I just love this serum! Moreover, most likely, it will completely be replacing the lactic acid 10%, since the new formula has caused dermatitis 😒 don’t know if I can use this on the once adored tool so they failed with their new formula! Thank God that mandelic acid came to the rescue!

Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 8% (oil-free form)

What for: pigmentation, blemishes, signs of aging, antioxidant action

Main active component:

Application: morning and/or evening

Format: anhydrous basis

Level of care: after water basics

Conflicts: Niacinamide

Features: use protective means from the sun, do not use on the area around the eyes.

  • vitamin C (ascorbic acid) β€” powerful antioxidant, improves skin tone, lightens pigmentation and helps to remove acne marks and stimulates the production of collagen in the skin.
  • Alfarabi (Alpha Arbutin) is a pure biosynthetic active ingredient which reduces pigmentation and evens skin tone.

  • Color transparent
  • The consistency is liquid, not sticky, oily. When applied it feels slightly warm.
  • Very tasty a little sweet smell.

Hmmmmm… I must say that this serum I didn’t like. Why?

  • for very oily texture. Someone will ask: “But what about all the oil that you use?”. Answer: I don’t like the vitamin C in this oil form. It’s simple. Combined with my beloved ferulic acid in the morning leaving for me was simply impossible, because it is more like a pancake. Face faster jernimos. In General, the product is not for me and probably not for oily skin in General. But dry will appreciate (checked on mom and her skin, she loves “fatter” and she loved it).
  • the texture I would have to bear could, if not one big BUT! After 2-3 weeks of use I started to suspect that I clog pores. After a month I 100% convinced, when it was removed for a week away. Especially the “black” nose, which I haven’t noticed.
  • the rash is not caused, but it was already not important.
  • in General, if you forget about the black dots and how to forget about them?, skin looked good: the irritation was not present “glow”, no lightening for the month of use I saw… and that, for me, perhaps, all πŸ˜…
  • Consumption. In my case, literally 3-4 drops. Mom β€” a pipette, as it all means uses generously on face, neck and decollete (banks cream Shiseido Benefiance her barely enough for a month)
  • Bubble finished off mom, and then she was purchased new. I’m never going back to this Vit C.

Rating: 2/10🚫 for me, for mom 8/10βœ… ( for skin nutrition and over “Shine”)

    Period of use: may-June 2018.

    Price: 12,90€

Lactic Acid 5% + HA (water base)

    Application: preferably in the evening

    pH: 3,6-3,8

    Format: water-based

Step in care: until the oil/cream

    Conflicts: no

Features: use protective means from the sun, do not use on the area around the eyes.

    • Lactic acid is a alpha hydroxy acid that helps fight disease-causing bacteria, exfoliates, brightens, moisturizes the skin.
    • contains hyaluronic acid 2%.
    • 5% formulation offers very gentle exfoliation and maintained purified Tasmanian pepperberry, which reduces signs of inflammation and sensitivity.

I will not write much about, because I must say: it was not, as the previous hero!

All those black dots! I enjoyed it in March and bought for daily use and moisturizing, but not developed. I can’t say that there was something criminal. No. The skin was really moist, no rash or irritation I have not noticed, but this is not the case, when you can tolerate the black dots in the name of only one of the moisture.

The expense was big: the pipette on the face/neck and neckline. For the month it took me half and the rest I finished just at the neckline.

    • The texture is liquid, light orange color.
    • Has a slightly sour smell.

    Rating: 5/10 🚫

    Period of use: March-April 2018.

    Price: 5,90€

    Salicylic Acid 2% Solution

Why: provides antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, healing effect.

    Active ingredient: Salicylic acid (BHA)

    Application: preferably in the evening

    pH: 3,2-3,5

    Format: water-based

Step in care: until the oil/cream

    Conflicts: no

Features: use protective means from the sun, do not use on the area around the eyes.

I’m not really a fan of salicylic acid. All of it fits in 90% of cases, on the contrary causes acne. But somehow I stumbled on this character we have they were not. the store decided to test.

    • the texture is liquid, gel
    • in the distribution of foam on the skin (and even, for the first time I even tried to throw, but then decided to just continue to use without noticing anything negative).
    • can stick, but I still paint on top of other tools.
    • apply in the evening in combination with Niacinamide
    • does not cause irritation or peeling
    • on me no effect on pores or black dots
    • does not clog pores
    • suitable for use every day

This means for me is absolutely “no”. What it is, what it is not… no Difference. Now finish the second bottle (long live the Thrifty hamster!) and do not buy it.

    Rating: 5/10 🚫

    Period of use: April 2018.
