L’oréal has launched a perfume YSL Libre after eight years of development. The release of a new product is part of a number of toilet innovations, which as hope in the company will increase sales in the market of Western Europe.
New perfume from YSL, L’oréal, which is a combination of the aroma of male fern, and special varieties of lavender from Provence, France, complemented by scents of flowers, vanilla and orange. A new perfume is already available in travel retail outlets in Europe, Middle East, India, Africa, and North and South America. Brand, presented pop icon Dua Lipa, will be launched in the Asia-Pacific region from 1 November.
The initial concept of the latest women’s fragrance began in 2011. Perfumers have developed 1570 variations of flavor before creating the unique YSL Libre. Anne Flipo, the representative team of perfumers of L’oréal, said: “It is a journey from the first chord of the scent to the perfume bottle was a long one”.
The release of the YSL Libre became part of a wider promotion of innovation in the fragrance business, L’oréal advertised as an important factor in the withdrawal of the company from poor sales in Western Europe. While the region has achieved for L’oréal profit of 4.21 billion euros in the first half, he provided sales growth of only 1.9%, indicating the very slow growth of the market for the cosmetics industry.
Speaking last month a statement of financial income of the company, Chairman and chief Executive officer Jean-Paul AGON said that the release of aromas in 2019 – Idôle Lancôme, YSL Libre, and Valentino Born in Roma – will help this lull in the market. “You know that of all areas the most important from the point of view of the flavor is Western Europe. Thus, we do believe that, for example, an elite unit run of these three fragrances will definitely be very important,” said AGON.
The release of the YSL Libre took place less than a month after the launch of Lancôme Idôle August 22. These floral women’s perfume introduced American actress Zendaya Coleman. Idôle perfume was launched worldwide, including in the Asia-Pacific region, and is available both in traditional stores and outlets are duty free. Perfume Valentino’s Born in Roma duo suitable for both men and women, already available in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.
